e. 1SmlThg - Top 5

In your Bounded sheets of paper, take a few minutes by yourself and write your Top 5 Things of the day.

They don't always have to be good things or fun things, but the 5 things that impacted your life.

It'll be worthwhile to read these at a later date.

SngTht Friday - Stand

You feel like a candle in a hurricane
Just like a picture with a broken frame
Alone and helpless, like you’ve lost your fight
But you’ll be alright, you’ll be alright
‘Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you’re made of
You might bend ‘til you break
‘Cause it’s all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you’ve had enough
You get mad, you get strong
Wipe your hands, shake it off
Then you stand, then you stand

d. 1SmlThg - Hugs

Giving Hugs is good stuff.

Give one of the no-space between, non pat-pat on the back and we're done, no-leaning in so only our shoulders touch hugs.

Oh and watch this video.  Really, you have to - I can guarantee that it'll make your day better or prove that your heart stopped beating.

c. 1SmlThg - Sheets of Paper Bound Together

Call it what you want . . . journal, diary, thinking pages, venting pad, brain on paper.

Buy One - Buy a good one, buy one you like to carry - make it feel like you - leather bound or spiral bound with polka dots.

Do it - I guess that I can't guarantee that it'll change your life, but if you were my friend, I'd highly, highly recommend it.

(Get a pen that you like as well).

b. 1SmlThg - New York Times

Want to be less negative?

Stop watching TV news and stop reading local newspapers.

To still feel connected to the big picture, review the front page of the New York Times (link here).  Review the headlines and click on only two or three stories that truly interest you.

a. 1SmlThg - Floss

This is the first of twenty-six small things that (in my completely subjective, no holds-barred opinion) can make an improvement in one's day and (maybe even) one's life.

Floss your teeth.

Because if you're not going to take the three minutes that it takes to do something healthy for yourself - then you're not really going to step up to make any other positive changes in your life.

Besides, it'll help your breath from stinking, it make your tongue realize that your teeth aren't actually fused together, and it'll give you some time to ponder the day before everyone wakes up.

Three minutes . . .
