Reinforcing Steel (re-steel or rebar) is the steel reinforcing that is usually placed in concrete pours to give the deck strength in tension. While on the project site
today, the 4-inch bar that I'm holding was found. This bar was purposely cut to this completely non-useable length, tagged with an official bar number, and shipped from the fab shop to the project site. As it is noted as weighing "0 pounds" it is probably pretty lucky that it didn't blow off of the semi.
